Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? by Bill Martin is a cute book for the early elementary classroom. This book focuses on descriptive language, primarily colors. I would use this book in Kindergarten or 1st grade and would use it when teaching animals or colors. I think a fun activity to do after this book is to let the children draw their favorite animal in their favorite color. The guided reading level is C and the Lexile level is AD440L.
